    Octavia 2 1.9TDI. DMF to One-piece Flywheel

In Octavia 2 1.9 TDI PD 77kW two brands and two sizes of Dual Mass Flywheel are used, LUK and SACHS with diameter 220 mm and 240 mm.
The VIN number will tell which one is in your car.

Can be replaced with the one-piece flywheel. If it fails prematurely.

How to tell it is a faulty DMF: Here
    Part numbers:

    038 105 269 D - flywheel
    038 141 025 N – pressure plate
    038 141 032 – clutch plate
    N 101 01001 – bolt pressure plate 6x
    N 902 06103 – bolt flywheel 6x

That should be a 1Z Engine in that Car, which is exactly the same TDI as used in late Golf 3s and Golf 4s overseas.

Some of the early ones came with a solid flywheel.

The easiest way to replicate the parts for this kit in Australia would be a T4 Van 2L Flywheel and a VR6 Clutchkit.

Exactly the same parts as listed above by Transporter.

    Just for your Info.

And as for earlier Golfs the easy way how to tell if you have DMF is looking at the engine sump - if it's aluminium than you should have DMF, unless someone already replace it with the one-piece solid one.
