    Very interesting.

You may also like to read this on the Wavetrac diff.

I have one of each but they're yet to be installed in a gearbox. I'm looking forward to comparing them on the track.

Who's installing the diff? (If it's not rude to ask?)

I'm looking for someone to rebuild 2 boxes for me. I've had a couple of suggestions but haven't chased anyone up yet. Waiting for some finances to sort themelves out first.

I've got all the bits just need trustworthy labour now.

i go to volkwerke in greensborough to get most of my stuff done
(MK2GTI) Chris and his dad Loyde runs the shop they do a very good job
Loyde from what iv heard has had a lot of experience with gearboxes over the years so i dont doubt he will be able to handle it.

    No secrets on here!

One diff came from our good friends at GAP.
    http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volks...smission/295/1

The other came from Parts for VWs
    http://www.parts4vws.com/catalog/pro...er=020WaveTrac

Their gasket sets and rebuild parts are good value too.

    Autotech has them too
    http://www.autotech.com/products_driveline.htm

I was able to sea freight them back to myself when I visited the US earlier this year so I can't tell you the air freight charges but I'd be guessing about $100 for something this heavy.
