At this present time, the most stable FW that fully supports our Australian maps (whether CD_7005 or CD_7360) is FW 2760.

But still ... there will be those that don't heed to the warnings both here and at the start of this thread and take the plunge!

In the event, things go pear shaped with your upgrade and you end up reverting back down to "I told you so" FW 2760, then you'll need to read this: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...ade-60666.html

If anyone can provide the links to it, then I'll change my statement!

But at the moment ... certainly for aftermarket units, FW 2760 is it!

And FW 2840 is up there with a real proper V4 map.

Most desirable, but no where in sight!

Quite frankly ... I'm relying on Maverick to deliver on that front!
Cause he's the one that's left us all high and dry with the revelation.

But right now, I think I'll have a better chance getting my hands on Big Foot than these two items.

I was running 2760 but had problems with the can reversing signal so my reverse camera wouldn't work.

Upgraded to 3810 and all is working great. I think it's faster than 2760.

hah yeah the car they had in stock I wanted had it, I wouldn't of paid 2.5k for it. Not even sure I would of paid 1k for it. I was really just letting people know what version cars are coming with right now.

Prob worth going back to dealer and getting a map upgrade though.

Who knows ... you might just inadvertently score something later than CD 7360!
