Polo 9N3 Head Light Bulb Changing Guide:

Polo 9N3 Head Light Bulb Changing Guide:

Due to lack of space on the passenger side of the car I have taken some pics of a head light unit out of the car.
NOTE: Do not touch the glass of the Globe with your fingers this will shorten the life of the Globe.
    Step one:
Remove the plastic covers on the rear of the lights.

    Step Two:
    High Beam
Unplug the single wire connecting the globe.

Press down on the wire clip holding the globe in place.

    This should free the globe.

Place new globe in and do steps in revers order.

    Low Beam:
Twist the plastic holder Anti-clockwise and the 2 metal prongs will dislodge the globe.

Pull the Globe out of the Holder and replace, Revers steps to secure again.

    Indicators:
Twist the plastic paddle Clock wise this will undo the holder then simple pull out.

Pull the Globe out of the Holder and replace, Revers steps to secure again.

    Park Lights:
You have to have very small hands to get to them:
The easiest way I have found is to gentle pull on the wires that they connect too.

I would say yes to install a higher watt globe but u can go for a whiter light which gives the effect of brighter.
Philips make a blue vision, dimond vision and a crystal vison which work really well in the polo.
    They are not cheap tho.

To change to a higher watt i think u would need to check things like fuses and gauge of wire to make sure the loom can hadle the extra current draw.

I would suggest taking out the whole headlight assembly to change the globes if your household runs a swear jar.

It is the most irritating task to install them with the headlight in place.

If you have a young child there arms would be very handy lol.
Yeah the head lights out of the car is easy but u do have to remove the front bar to do this which is a little bit of a hassel.

I'll be sure to give this a shot sometime after mine arrives - hopefully with some help from smaller hands 'cause I won't be disassembling the car
