    VCDS / VAG-COM settings to make GTI needles dance upon ignition

    Saw this on the golfgti.co.uk forums and thought ppl here with GTIs would be interested (actually not sure whether this can be done to regular Golfs as well)...

    I thought they normally 'dance' (move side to side). I saw it in a vw video I think.

    Can MK6 GTI do needle sweep at startup like AUDIs? It looks cool.

    Sure can... simple settings change via VAG COM or vcds. Note, only works on GTIs built in week 45 or later.

    Nice, thanks mate. My car is built in week 1 2010. Still on a ship. Another question is where can I get it done in Sydney? I don't have that software and cable.

    Come along to the March get-together in Leichhardt, ask in this thread if someone can bring a cable and software. If you can look up the instructions and have them printed ready to go, you'll make it even easier on everyone.
