Smile New User help with Golf Gti Parts & general info...

    Hi guys

    Some quick things about me:
    Im from Western Australia
Love soccer & AFL.... I love for the Bombers...
Love my music... The Strokes, The Klaxons, Cut Copy mainly indie/dance but some rock Guns & Roses...

Umm I have an Golf Gti Love the car heaps.... DSG 2008 mkV ... (I bought it second hand cos I couldn't afford to buy one new but still very happy...

    Now I have some questions..

My sister recently drove my golf and got in an accident... and the repair bill is quiet a bit... I have an friend who is a panel beater and doesn't mind repairing some of the panels that need repairing for an discount but... I would really like to buy some of the panels so he doesn't have to spend too much time repairing it and hopefully it will keep the costs down.

    1) I was just wondering where is the cheapest place to buy Golf part for it? (I dont mind International sellers)?

    2) Are you able to use alot of the exterior parts from like an Golf TSI on an Golf GTi?, i.e. an door, boot, bumper...

Parts I need are like the back bumper, a side quarter panel, lights!!! Its an Golf MkV 2008 Gti

Btw - the car stood up well to the damage

    Thanks

Make sure if you get lights that they are suitable for RHD vehicles.

I would have a chat to a couple of Euro Wreckers and see what they have to offer in regards to second hand panels. They will be just as good as brand new in most instances and "should" be cheaper. Always check with your local dealer though. As sometimes the panels arent really that expensive.
