I reckon the OP knows more than he ever thought he would about the RNS510 I know I do! I think I might have to get one once the bank balance recovers.

Am thinking of changing to a different antenna and seeing if that helps but hoping that it may correct itself as yours seems to have.

Nah ... definitely symmetrical as I suspected.

Only problem is that they're actually tilted slightly upwards.

So now that it's inverted, it's slightly tilted downwards and not flush.

But I can live with this RHD conversion!

I definitely have the same FW and map, as you do. But I have a RNS510 version C LED (with star button).

All I can recommend is a trip up or down the coast and fingers crossed!

FWIW, I placed the GPS antenna inside the dash, on the top right hand corner ledge, just above the driver side of the centre aircon vent (next to the head unit).

Lightning strike roughly marks the spot inside the dash.

The antenna is placed above my centre vents directly under the dash (Golf R)

Mine is also the Version C Led from Lithuania.

I did a 150km round trip on the weekend but it didn't make a difference.
