Connecting aftermarker amp to factory head unit

    Hey Guys,

Anyone connected an amp to the standard head units?

I have the RCD 310 in my Polo 6R, but there is not a wire for the remote to turn the amp on and off.

Where will I run the remote wires of the amps to turn them on and off? Someone told me after looking at the pin assignments (here) that I should be able to connect it to the CD Changer Voltage Supply.

    So, anyone done this before?

PS, I have two amps (Alpine MRP-F600 & MRP-M500) so that might be tricky

    [EDIT]
Spoke to the guys at Alberts Car Audio on what they do when radios don't have the remote wire and when installing 2 amps. They just run the remote wire the the ACC. Wire will got to AMP1 and then out again to AMP2 (almost the same as bridging the two remote switches...)

So just need to make sure that the fuse in the power cable is strong enough (~50AMP, but that depends on the RMS watts of the amps).

He did recommend to upgrade the car battery, but after I got a quote for the cabling (power & speakers) I will not be doing that soon . Unfortunately a amp installation kit will do no good, not enough 4 guage & 8 gauge wires, no power distribution blocks, fuse not big enough, not enough speaker wires and no need of the long RCA cable...
