Ok Now I'm worried - what's this about a battery drain? I've got a 2007 GT so I should be getting an older RNS510?

Sounds like you are ok but if concerned have a read of Mavericks forum:

Ok so it sounds like I need to go for an RNS510 that has firmware at least 2660 or higher to avoid any battery drain issues in my car.

Would something like this be ideal then - Seems like its got version 2720. Do I need anything else to connect it? I hear something about a Farkra adapter????

My understanding was the the firmware had to be lower than the 2660 to avoid the battery drain issue? I might be wrong?

    * This problem does now affect the RNS 510 if the firmware is upgraded to 2660 or higher. The RNS 510 will exhibit the same problems as the RCD 210, RCD 310, RNS 310 and RCD 510 and requires the CAN bus gateway to be upgraded.

Ah I think you're right - damn that means I'd probably have to get an older version B RNS510 then? Or is it worth paying the extra to get the CANBUS upgraded ?

There's mention of overcoming the problem by fiddling with the fuse or something like that!

Pictures were provided in the thread.

You need to go back and re-read it carefully!
