Default Official S2000 Polo Pics and Information

Ok everyone, Thanks to Marius aka OZ2000 i was invited to have a sneak preview of the car. Man this thing is beautiful and sounds phenomenal. Cant wait to see how it goes at Canberra. (If only i could get down there to watch.)

So i thought i would start this thread and we can follow his and Gerald (his co-driver) mission to take on the finest of The australian Rally Championship with one of our very own VW 9n3 Polo GTI (well whats left of it anyway)

These guys were extremely nice so if you go to the rally to spectate go up and say hello. The more we can support these guys at there events the better.

Also there is something about www.oz2000.com.au that should be up and running sooner or later but maybe Marius can tell us more about that later.

Here is a link to the specs. s2000-specs

    Ok now for the Pics

I'll be there next Saturday in Canberra. Really looking forward to it as I've always loved Rally but never had a really good reason to go watch.

    Shane,
Good to meet you yesterday and see the enthusiasm - the Polo generates this where-ever we go. Yesterday's meeting at Alan Stean's Brisbane based Silverstone Competition Tyres workshop was to sort out the rubber for Canberra next week. After testing last Friday , Gerard and myself can't wait to get going. The Polo performed faultlessly straight off the ship on 70-80 k's of rigorous testing at Pat Kennedy's facility at Jimna. This is the advantage of a championship winning car - it is well sorted out. The performance and handling is absolutely phenomenal.

You all read the article about "The Roar of The King of Africa" - I daresay that @ 8500rpm it rather turns into a very agressive scream - come and listen to it in the forest - it sounds awesome!
