good on ya, you have a very creative mind.

havent seen anything other than a part number listed for a 5door on official parts lists. Volkswagen Golf GTI Genuine Accessories List A6 – Mark VI Mark 6 | my-gti.com

list the part number then or how much you got them for... so other 3dr mk6 owners can refer to it
Sold - Nissan Silvia S15 JDM
Current - VW Golf GTI MK6 (Candy White, 5-Door, DSG, Bi-xenons, RVC)

I'm thinking of buying a pair for the soul reason that for some reason I need to drive with the window down a little. Now that's great when dry but a problem when it's raining. So my purchase is more for functionality. My concern is to whether they will compliment the car or look a bit ****y. What do you guys think of the look when they are fitted?

I think it falls under the category of you will notice them but no-one else will. I saw an HSV the other day with slimline weathershields, but I didn't notice them until they were pointed out to me.

I'm putting a pair on next weekend.

So is it possible to get a set of slimline weathershields for the front doors only on a Golf Mk6 5 dr and if so what is the part number/cost?

I'll try to take pics tomorrow. The shields aren't fitted to the car and I don't know if or when they will be.

I suppose if they are a similar tint as the windows then it'll look ok and not too noticeable. Lets us know what you think of them when they are fitted.

You actually get the front and back doors too, but there is no way I'm putting the backs on!

The price is between $110 and $130 (I bought mine with other accessories). Don't know the part number, just bought them over the counter at a VW dealership.
