    Default Scratched plastic speedometer cover

I have noticed that when I got the car (18/6) even though I inspected it I didn't see that there are scratches on my speedometer. Only later I saw scratches and seems like it was then when the dealer cleaned the car. What am I to do as I have already accepted the car on Friday would the dealer cover replacing the cover. It does not come cheap too $800. Any suggestions anyone?

well its pretty much at the bottom....the size of maybe index finger or there about (on rev plate) and scrathes on speedometer are a bit smaller. I ll try taking a photo not sure if it would show up. what can you use to polish it?

It depends how bad it is, but Meguiars Plastx has fixed similar issues for me.

Plexus is brilliant stuff, google it. I'd also recommend that you ask in the detailing forum, those guys would have something in their bag of tricks to sort it.

thanks MadWorm and hooba for the suggestions. will read up on both of them. the scratches are not worth $800 panel replacement for sure...
