    Can't hear it from outside the car. I did put my ear to the bonnet and could not hear anything.

    You don't have a choice, the AC compressor is always running.

    So that would mean that the noise wont happen all the time, just when the AC is "dirty"?

    No it happens at different times as required, it changes the positions of the flaps when shutting down to minimise odours.

    Turns the AC on and off however the AC compressor is a variable controlled unit that has no clutch and always runs at a minimum 2%.

    The AC system has a climate control to run it and you can't fully disable it like you can with a manual system.

    Yesterday as I sat in my car with the ignition turned off I realise that my seat is making a clicking/ticking sound every time I take a breath and exhale. It's the weirdest thing.
    Mk6 Golf GTI, Deep Black, Sunroof, 18" Detroit, Leather, Factory MDI, Xenon, ACC, Tint, Bluetooth.
